Here’s something the world needs more of: Two gorgeous, accomplished actors spending a moment over cosmetics.
You never know when cameras are rolling, and someone on TODAY’s social media crew recorded a wonderful behind-the-scenes interaction with two of our favorite guys, Glen Powell and John Stamos! Both guys were due to come on the legendary morning program on July 17 to promote their current projects, but before that occurred, they had some quality time together by making sure everyone was looking their best:

“The sight of sheer excitement on their faces. @johnstamos and @glenpowell behind-the-scenes at the #TODAYShow,” TODAY’s Instagram post stated.
Their grins speak it all. Powell can’t help but smile ear-to-ear as Stamos softly caresses his face. Powell trusted Stamos fully — and by all accounts, Stamos came through for his friend with a fantastic makeup job! Who thought the two guys would connect so passionately over something as small as concealer?
Powell had only one thought as Stamos spoke with the TODAY team on parenting and the Beach Boys: Twisters, his new film, which is now playing in theaters worldwide! Powell looked flawless because of Stamos when he spoke about his relationship to the movie.
“[The original] is one of those seminal movies that I grew up on, but then you travel the world and you realize this movie meant so much to so many people,” Powell said to Hoda Kotb. “And just getting to shoot this thing in Oklahoma, and you know, just hauling all across the Oklahoma plains in trucks, yeah, it’s just the best.”
Twisters is developing into a picture that will surpass the original in every way. Most crucial, however, is that even the performers acknowledged that fans would value paying homage to the original film. Powell disclosed to NBC Insider in an exclusive July interview that Twisters has a “feel” with Twister from 1996.
“The thing that I really took away from the first one was just the infectious sense of joy about the weather,” Powell said. “When I look at our film, we’re just really proud of that same sort of joy that kind of emanates throughout all of it.”
Powell was not the only celebrity to commend the movie for its commitment to maintaining the authenticity of the original. Anthony Ramos, Powell’s co-star, agreed, mentioning the film’s music in particular.
“It was the attention to the soundtrack, which was something that they really worked on to nail for the first one,” Ramos said. “I think that this soundtrack really feels like an extension of the heartbeat of the movie, which I think the first one did.”
