The pairings of rumored celebrity couples can be utterly random, as the past month has demonstrated. We now may have another couple to add to the list: Dua Lipa and Trevor Noah. Previous couples include Brad Pitt and Emily Ratajkowski, Leonardo DiCaprio, and Gigi Hadid.
On Wednesday night in New York, pictures of Dua and Trevor sharing a kiss while out to dinner surfaced (28th September).
An observer told the Daily Mail that the couple appeared to be deeply in love as they dined at a Jamaican eatery in the East Village.
They claimed: “They were discretely seated in a corner of the eatery. Throughout the lunch, they sat near to one another, clearly showing that they liked one another. Together, they went on their way while pausing for lengthy embraces and, after the second kiss, hugs.
Trevor and Dua haven’t made their relationship status official. The Grammy Awards earlier this year, where Trevor was hosting and Dua was performing, is where the two are thought to have first crossed paths.
Prior to splitting up with Anwar Hadid in late 2021, Dua dated him for two years. Additionally, Trevor had a sporadic connection with actor Minka Kelly in the past. Before breaking up in May 2021, the couple had their initial meeting in September 2020. Soon after, it was reported that Trevor and Minka were dating once more before calling it quits in May of this year.
The revelation that Trevor and Dua are dating coincides with Trevor’s announcement that, after seven years, he will be leaving his post as host of The Daily Show on Comedy Central.
In a video posted on Twitter yesterday (September 29), Trevor revealed the news and said he had loved performing on the show but was now wanting to work on more stand-up comedy.
It’s been really great, he said. I never anticipated that to happen. The entire time, I kept reflecting on everything we’ve been through. The Trump presidency, the pandemic, the voyage alone, and the pandemic has made me realize that my time is up after seven years.
In addition, Trevor went on to describe his future plans: “I spent two years in my apartment, not on the road, and when I got back out there, I came to the realization that there is yet more of my life to discover. I miss picking up new tongues. I miss performing abroad and visiting different nations.
He expressed his gratitude to the show’s viewers for their continued support. He has not yet specified a date for his last appearance on The Daily Show.
