Tottenham defeats Nottingham Forest easily to get their momentum back.

On Saturday, Tottenham defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 in north London thanks to two goals from Harry Kane and one from Son Heung-min. This win seemed to come easily.
After the Reds were defeated by relegation-threatened Bournemouth earlier on Saturday, the win moves Tottenham (48 points, fourth place) six points ahead of Liverpool in the Premier League’s top-four competition.
Within three minutes, Richarlison looked to have given Spurs the lead, but a thorough video analysis revealed that the Brazilian was offside by the thinnest of margins, making it maybe the closest call of the season. Oliver Skipp had sent a powerful pass over the top to split two defenders.
Spurs controlled the match from the first whistle forward, frustrations with the VAR verdict aside. On the 19th minute, Kane headed in Pedro Porro’s cross to make it 1-0 and give him 19 Premier League goals for the season. In the 35th minute, the England captain scored his 20th penalty kick goal to make it 2-0.
Richarlison received the assist on goal number three, as he found Son with a well placed cross just after the hour mark. This came only days after Richarlison criticised Tottenham manager Antonio Conte and the team’s disappointing season. Son took the ball down, pushed it into open space with a quick touch off his thigh, and then fired low and inside the far post.
The one blemish on an otherwise flawless day for Tottenham came in the 81st minute when Joe Worrall headed Felipe’s corner kick past Fraser Forster, who had just moments before produced a pair of outstanding saves to preserve Spurs’ clean sheet.
When Dejan Kulusevski handled the ball on the outside of the penalty box, Forster went one better and maintained the score at 3-1 by stopping Andre Ayew from the spot-kick in stoppage time.
