ESPN has learned from sources that Tottenham has accepted the transfer of Sporting Lisbon winger Pedro Porro. Porro is willing to commit to the Premier League squad until 2028.
Sporting’s 23-year-old representative Porro participated in their 2-0 defeat to FC Porto in the Portuguese League Cup final on Saturday. He then seemed to be waving to the audience as if to say farewell.
Spurs increased their first offer for the defender after it was rejected, and the terms of the agreement are now the only thing that need to be negotiated.
After first moving there on loan from Manchester City, the Spanish international joined Sporting last summer on a permanent basis. Since then, he has cemented his position as a vital team player.

The quadriceps injury Ousmane Dembele sustained against Girona on Saturday raises severe concerns for Barcelona’s Europa League encounter against Manchester United.
Preliminary tests show that Dembele will be out for three to four weeks, according to sources who spoke with ESPN. The club will learn more on Sunday, when the attacker has a scan at the training centre.
Dembele, 25, pulled up during a footrace with Girona defender Arnau Martinez in the 25th minute of his team’s 1-0 triumph at Estadi Montilivi.
Pedri took his spot and waited on the bench for the majority of the match until scoring the game’s lone goal in his 100th appearance for Barcelona.
