Titans against. Ravens: Four players vying for the game ball

In Week 6, the Baltimore Ravens returned to winning ways as they defeated the Tennessee Titans 24-16 to end their journey to London. The Ravens led by fifteen points at the half and gradually gained momentum in the second half, never falling behind from the beginning until the end.

Which performances from the winning effort stood out? Let’s go through a few of them; cast your vote for the winner of the game ball below!

Jackson Lamar

Jackson led four straight scoring drives to start the game in the first half. He was very sharp throughout. He rolled out, sidestepped a sack, and completed all but a couple passes until hitting Zay Flowers with a crucial touchdown throw. Jackson made one costly error early in the third quarter when he threw an interception, which allowed Tennessee to score their first touchdown of the game and grab a one-possession lead.

After the fumble, however, he recovered to complete 7 of 10 passes for 77 yards and 35 running yards. The misfire to Odell Beckham Jr. was one of the Ravens’ one-of-five red zone misses. Apart from that, though, third-and-short runs accounted for the majority of the red area’s unsuccessful third down efforts.

In the end, Jackson completed 21 of 30 passes for 223 yards and gained 63 more yards on the run. Six pass-catchers had two or more receptions, and he found eight different targets for completions in his position as a point guard distributor.

Patrick Henry

Queen put on yet another fantastic all-around performance; she never stops doing well. The fourth-year linebacker was very active in run defense and pass rush situations on many occasions. Defensive coordinator Mike Macdonald continues to benefit from Queen’s blitzing abilities as an extra rusher. With his quarterback hit and sack, he now has four games this season where he has at least a half-sack or more.

Queen led the squad in single tackles and tied for the lead in total tackles. In addition, he recorded a tackle for loss. In addition to making open-field tackles in space, he was in on many tackles against Derrick Henry close to the line of scrimmage and often in the backfield.

Mean Joe Madubuike

In London, Madubuike had one of his most memorable performances of the season thus far. Throughout the game, he caused disruptions by consistently pressing the pocket when the Titans were in a dropback situation. When the athletic defensive lineman was playing at his best, he had elite potential.

In addition to his two sacks, which matched the game high, “Mads” also ended with two tackles for loss and four quarterback hits. Especially in the first half, he was difficult for the inside offensive lineman of the Titans to contain. Aside from a couple big gains, Madubuike also made plays against the run and assisted in limiting the Titans’ rushing damage.

Tucker, Justin

Tucker, the seasoned kicker, tried a stunning six field goals and made them all, making this game a master lesson for him. His only mistake was an attempted extra point that was stopped, therefore No. 9 was not held accountable.

Tucker’s longest attempt at a field goal was only 41 yards. During the game, his accuracy on short tries was crucial. To start the game, he made three consecutive field goals, and before the first half ended, he added another. The Ravens then increased their lead from five points to eleven points in the second half thanks to two more field goals from Tucker.
