'Three's Company' actor Suzanne Somers passes away at age 76.

‘Three’s Company’ actor Suzanne Somers passes away at age 76.

According to Suzanne Somers’ longtime publicist R. Couri Hay, the actress is deceased at the age of 76.

On Sunday, the eve of her 77th birthday, Somers, the performer from “Three’s Company,” passed away early in her home in the company of her loved ones.

On October 16, her family came together to celebrate her 77th birthday. On behalf of Somers’ family, Hay released a statement saying, “Instead, they will honor her extraordinary life and want to thank her millions of fans and followers who loved her dearly.”

The cause of Somers’s death was not immediately known. Hay said that she “survived an aggressive form of breast cancer for over 23 years.”

According to a person with knowledge of the situation, Somers will be laid to rest in a secret ceremony this coming week in Palm Springs. There will be a memorial next month, according to Hay.

The source stated that her family was planning to travel in to celebrate her birthday and spoke about what kind of cake and food to purchase her. However, they were now “all astonished and facing the awful truth that she is no longer with us.”

Somers revealed on Instagram in July that her breast cancer had come back.

“Like any cancer patient, you get a pit in your stomach when you get that dreaded ‘it’s back,’” she said to “Entertainment Tonight” at the time. I then don my combat gear and go into fight. I am pretty tough, and this is a battlefield I am accustomed with.

The person with knowledge of the situation added, “She had used alternative medicines over the years to fight the cancer, but this time she was under the care of a traditional doctor and was undergoing treatment.”

She developed skin cancer as well, which was first identified in 2000. She came under fire for fighting the tumors by living what she called an organic, chemical-free lifestyle.

Throughout the 1970s, Somers had several television appearances, such as in “The Rockford Files” and “The Six Million Dollar Man,” but her most well-known role was in “Three’s Company,” which ran on ABC from 1977 to 1984. She also portrayed a mother in the enduring children’s comedy “Step by Step.”
