The terrible defeat to Bayern for Arsenal won’t ruin the season.

While Mikel Arteta acknowledges that his team, Arsenal, is hurting over their Champions League loss to Bayern Munich, he also maintains that the setback won’t end their season.
Joshua Kimmich’s lone goal in Wednesday’s second leg gave Bayern a 3-2 aggregate victory, sending the Gunners packing in the quarterfinals.

With six games remaining, Arsenal will need to make a swift turnaround when they go to Wolves on Saturday in an attempt to catch Premier League leaders Manchester City.
“[The pain] is present,” Arteta said. That won’t go away tonight, for sure, but by tomorrow, we’ll be totally focused on the Wolves, and everyone will feel better.”Beautiful is what we still have to play for. It’s time to be beside these players, as I already said. When we win ten games in a row and one tie, it’s simple to support them, compliment the players, and say kind things. Now is the time to get behind them and stand behind them.
In a match decided by a few pivotal moments, Bayern’s experience and expertise were evident in their performance, which saw them beat over Arsenal.
Having just returned to Champions League football this season for the first time since 2017, Arteta later acknowledged that it may take his players many years to pick up the same street smarts.
“We haven’t played this competition for seven years and we haven’t been in this stage for 14 years,” Arteta said.
“There is a rationale behind it. We want to do everything in a single season, very quickly. Because of the narrow margins, I believe we have the ability and skill to be in the semifinals.”Those margins originate from a source that we may not yet have. We need to get it. Historically, it took previous teams seven, eight, or ten years to accomplish the same goal. That won’t lift our spirits today, that much is certain.
