According to a BBC analysis, the movies intended to show the pair dealing with the media frenzy were really taken from the Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2 premiere. When racism was mentioned, the Royal Palace kept Meghan and Harry silent.
Markle claims that she wasn’t frequently treated like a Black woman before her romance with Prince Harry became public and for months after they started dating. Being a minority and not immediately being treated as one is extremely different, she said. The palace gave them both specific orders not to speak up when press coverage and criticism made the Black component of her blended status the focal point of their complaints against her, the Prince said.

Then there was the incident where a woman called her mother the N-word at the Hollywood Bowl parking lot. She merely kept quiet for the remainder of the ride home, she claimed. “We never discussed it.”
Markle’s mother, Doria Ragland, made her first appearance on TV and apologised for not discussing racism with her daughter sooner. Her own children are now in a position to face the same scrutiny. The Duchess initially discussed the institutional prejudice she experienced while carrying her first child, Archie, during their primetime special last year. A high-ranking member of the Royal Family, possibly King Charles III or Prince William, expressed anxiety about how black his skin would be, according to Markle. Oprah, who is rarely silent, was left dumbfounded by the revelation.
