The greatest plays and pivotal moments from the Crimson Tide’s victory against the Tigers in LSU vs. Alabama

Alabama still has hopes of winning the SEC again and earning a berth in the College Football Playoffs.

At Bryant-Denny Stadium on Saturday night, the Crimson Tide overcame rival LSU 42-28 to avenge their loss from the previous year and maintain their advantage in the SEC West competition.

Although it began as a shootout, the Tide eventually gained the upper hand and defeated the Tigers.

Jalen Milroe of the Crimson Tide was outstanding; he completed 20 rushes for 155 yards and completed 219 passes for 219 yards. With four running touchdowns, he broke the record for quarterbacks in Alabama.

For the bulk of the game, Jayden Daniels’ play was identical to his. The Heisman Trophy candidate from LSU, who went 15-for-25 passing for 219 yards and two touchdowns and added 163 yards and another score on the run, had few answers early on for Alabama. However, Daniels was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after being struck and receiving a roughing-the-pass penalty, which prompted him to undergo concussion protocol.

That deflated any hopes of an LSU victory.

At the half, the score was deadlocked at 21 points each. LSU took the lead on their first play of the second half, driving straight down the field. However, that would stop the top offense in college football from scoring.

Alabama tied the score with a touchdown in response. After Alabama’s touchdown run, LSU attempted its first punt of the game, giving Alabama a commanding advantage. Daniels intercepted a pass two plays into LSU’s subsequent possession, allowing Alabama to score two scores once again.

The next drive, Daniels was injured, and that was it.
