Taylor Swift’s heartfelt relationship with Kobe Bryant and his family

Taylor Swift has been known to include her friends’ families into her inner circle.

The singer has never shied away from making huge gestures for her friends’ families.

During her Aug. 3 show, she made the audience’s hearts melt with a lovely hug she had with Kobe Bryant’s daughter, Bianka, during a performance of her song “22.”

Swift and Kobe Bryant may seem like an unusual couple, but they had known each other for years before to his untimely death in 2020. Swift has been in touch with his family ever since.

Here’s a look back at their heartfelt bond and some of the finest moments the artist has shared with the Bryants.

Kobe Bryant made an unexpected visit at one of Swift’s Los Angeles gigs in 2015. According to NBC Sports, it was the singer’s 16th sold-out performance at Staples Centre, making her the first artist to receive this honour.

Kobe Bryant joined the artist on stage and said that the number 16 represented the number of championships won by the Los Angeles Lakers at the time. The basketball player then presented a commemorative banner in Swift’s honour that would be displayed at the arena.

Swift congratulated Kobe Bryant on Twitter, which is now known as X, and the pro replied, “My pleasure @taylorswift13.” Continue shattering records and transforming people’s lives.”

The NBA star also posted a picture from the memorable occasion on Instagram, captioning it, “Friends hang from time to time, but banners hang forever.”
