Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian will soon have another female teammate.
The former tennis player, who has a 5-year-old daughter Olympia and is expecting their second child, uploaded video from the couple’s sex reveal celebration on July 31. Williams said that she was “very excited” about their celebration in a romantic video shared to her YouTube account.
“Obviously, I’m on team pink,” she joked. “But I’m worried because I don’t have a backup plan if it turns out to be a boy.”
During their party, Ohanian revealed a cake with either pink or blue frosting on the inside as the reveal for Jellybean, their baby’s moniker.
However, as he said, he made certain that the interior was yellow.
“I’m doing it to trick her and Olympia into thinking this is the reveal of Jellybean,” he said. “She will cut into this cake, probably be disappointed, and hopefully appreciate my troll.”
But don’t worry, the news was shortly disclosed with a show of lights that lighted up the night sky reading, “GIRL!”

Ohanian nailed his guess regarding the sex of their second child ahead of the couple’s announcement.
“I’m convinced I’m gonna be a girl dad,” he declared on the May 12 edition of HBO Max and CNN’s “Who’s Talking to Chris Wallace?” “So even if we have 50 more children, they’ll all be girls.” But we’ll have to wait and see.”
And, as he suggested, they would soon find out in dramatic fashion. “I think we’re planning on having some kind of fun little gender reveal situation at some point,” he said. “We’ll all be surprised together.”
Earlier this year, Williams also shared the touching moment the pair told Olympia she’d be a big sister.
“Remember how you’ve been praying for a little sister or brother?” In a May 23 YouTube video, Williams questioned the 5-year-old. “Well, we went to the doctor, and it turns out that I’m not getting fat, but I do have a baby in my belly.”
What about Olympia’s reaction?
“Are you kidding me?” she said to her parents. “Oh my goodness! “I’m overjoyed!”
