The pop diva came to Instagram on Saturday (July 22) to celebrate her 31st birthday and share the item she most desires on her special day.
“I am thankful for so much in my life, but one of the things I am most grateful for is the work we’ve been able to do with the Rare Impact Fund through @Rarebeauty,” Gomez captioned a snapshot of herself blowing out candles on a beautiful cake. “Thanks to YOU, we’ve been able to increase awareness and access to mental health services for young people.” This is my actual life passion.”
“People keep asking me what I want for my birthday, and I tell everyone the same thing, please do not get me anything, but if you want to do something for my birthday, please donate to the Rare Impact Fund,” the Only Murders in the Building actress stated. Consider giving if you have the resources to help us make a difference.”
On her 28th birthday in July 2020, Gomez’s beauty firm, Rare Beauty, will establish the Rare Impact Fund. At the time, the foundation planned to generate $100 million over the following ten years to provide underprivileged regions with mental health care.
unusual Beauty was launched in February 2020 by the “Lose You to Love Me” vocalist with the self-affirming purpose that “being rare is about being comfortable with yourself.” The line’s title is a reference to her third album, Rare, which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200.
Gomez hinted earlier this summer that the follow-up to Rare is finally in the works. “Don’t worry guys, it’s coming,” she captioned photographs from the recording studio on Instagram. “Even from Paris.”
