Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots

Robert Kraft, owner of the Patriots, weds Dr. Dana Blumberg in an unexpected ceremony.

Following a surprise, celebrity-studded wedding in New York City, Robert Kraft, the owner of the New England Patriots, is officially wed to Dr. Dana Blumberg, his girlfriend of three years and fiancée of at least six months.

According to Page Six of The New York Post, Kraft, 81, and Blumberg, 47, hosted a “Kickoff and a Touchdown” party at the Hall des Lumières in lower Manhattan on Friday night. They invited roughly 250 guests. The couple did not disclose to their guests that they would be attending a wedding; instead, they instructed them to dress festively.

Before Al Michaels, a veteran NFL broadcaster, presented the couple to the crowd as husband and wife, the couple reportedly played a 10-minute video for the audience.

According to reports, Sir Elton John gave Kraft and Blumberg an hour-long performance as a wedding gift. According to Page Six, the pair came up with the idea for the wedding while they were in the backstage area during John’s recent “Farewell Yellow Brick Road” tour stop in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

According to reports, the wedding also included performances by rapper Meek Mill, who has become close to Kraft, and Ed Sheeran, a four-time Grammy Award winner who will take the stage at Gillette next year.

Tom Brady, a former Patriots quarterback who won six Super Bowls with the team, was present along with other former and present New England players. Despite rumors that he and his wife of 13 years, supermodel Gisele Bündchen, are now estranged and have individually engaged divorce attorneys, Brady showed up to the wedding alone.

Ty Law, Richard Seymour, Randy Moss, current assistant coaches Troy Brown and Jerod Mayo, newly inducted Patriots Hall of Famer Vince Wilfork, former No. 1 overall pick Drew Bledsoe, and current players Devin McCourty, Matthew Slater, and David Andrews were among the other Patriots who attended the wedding.

Other guests at the celebration were the NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Jon Bon Jovi, the fashion designer Tommy Hilfiger, the President and CEO of Warner Bros. Discovery, David Zaslav, and the Co-Founder of Home Depot, Ken Langone.

Kraft and Blumberg recently got engaged, Hilfiger revealed during an event in Palm Beach, Florida, in March. The couple began dating in 2019 and decided to go public that June during the French Open.

Prior to her passing from ovarian cancer in July 2011 at the age of 68, Kraft was married to Myra Hiatt Kraft for nearly 50 years.

One of the top ophthalmologists in the nation, Blumberg is connected to the Irving Medical Center at NewYork-Presbyterian/Columbia University.

In support of community health and health justice, Kraft and his family’s foundation are giving Massachusetts General Hospital, a founding member of Mass General Brigham, a landmark $50 million commitment.
