Musician indicted on six counts of sexual assault in Rex Orange County

Over the course of two days in June, Alexander O’Connor is accused of assaulting a woman.

According to the sources, the artist Rex Orange County, real name Alexander O’Connor, has been accused of six charges of sexual assault on a lady.

The 24-year-old is accused of assaulting the woman twice on June 1 in London’s West End and four times the following day, including once in a taxi and three times in his Notting Hill residence. According to reports, the woman is older than 16.

On October 10, O’Connor made an appearance at Southwark Crown Court. He was granted unconditional bail after entering a not guilty plea to each of the six accusations.

According to a press release from the musician’s agent, “Alex is horrified by the charges, which he denies, and looks forward to defending his name in court.” He is unable to comment further due to the pending legal actions.

The date of the preliminary trial has been set for January 3, 2023.

O’Connor made the decision to postpone his upcoming tour dates in Australia, New Zealand, and Europe in July 2022 after learning of “unforeseen personal issues” that would force him to “spend some time at home this year” and prevent him from “continuing with travelling as planned.”

He wrote, “This is the last thing I want to do. “I adore touring, and I’m very sorry if I’m disappointing people. I anticipate returning to it as soon as I can.

O’Connor studied in Britain and self-released his debut album, Bcos U Will Never B Free, in 2015. It became a popular song, catching the attention of US rapper Tyler, the Creator, who asked O’Connor to collaborate on his album Flower Boy in 2017.

He has four albums out, the most recent of which is Who Cares? He has also worked with musicians like Randy Newman and Chance the Rapper.
