On Wednesday, Keke Palmer’s boyfriend Darius Jackson created a debate by disparaging her choice of clothing as a mature woman.
A video of Usher serenading the Nope actress is making the rounds on social media. She participates in the performance by singing and dancing with the There Goes My Baby singer. Palmer looks resplendent in a black bodysuit and translucent dress for the event at Usher’s residency in Las Vegas.
Jackson, Palmer’s boyfriend and the child’s father, soon learned about the video and sent a remark on Twitter that seemed to shame Palmer for her attire. The statement was tweeted by Jackson along with the description, “It’s the outfit tho.. you a mum.”
Since making a comment on the video, Jackson has come under fire from followers on social media who labelled him “insecure” and “corny,” but the fitness instructor has stuck to his guns.
In a subsequent tweet, Jackson noted that “we live in a generation where a man of the family doesn’t want the wife & mother to his kids to showcase booty cheeks to please others & he gets told how much of a hater he is.” “My family and I are represented by this. I adhere to certain principles and norms. I’ve made my case.
Palmer hasn’t officially weighed in on the discussion or addressed Jackson’s remarks. Palmer’s representatives did not immediately answer when EW asked them for comment.
Jackson and Palmer have kept their romance mainly a secret. In 2021, the former child actress discussed the challenges of releasing pictures of her relationship when appearing on The Tamron Hall Show. She said to Hall, “It got harder to hide.” We spend so much time together, and he’s really my best friend, that it simply becomes second nature for me to not try to disguise my happiness. Later, the images were removed.
Palmer shared a few pictures of her kid and partner but kept her pregnancy a secret until her SNL speech. Palmer wrote beside the first image of her baby, “I’m not hiding the world from my son, I’m hiding my son from the world.”
