Ray Liotta died as a result of sudden heart failure.
The 67-year-old ‘Goodfellas’ star was discovered dead in his hotel room in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, in May 2022, and authorities in the nation have now allegedly verified his cause of death was respiratory insufficiency, pulmonary edoema, and abrupt cardiac failure.
According to the docs acquired by TMZ.com, Liotta’s death was classified as “natural and nonviolent,” and authorities discovered the celebrity had atherosclerosis – a hardening of the arteries that may lead to complications such as heart attacks and strokes.
Liotta had been in the Dominican Republic working on a film called ‘Dangerous Waters’ alongside Eric Dane, Odeya Rush, and Saffron Burrows when he died in his sleep, according to prior reports. His corpse was eventually transported back to his family in the United States.
In February, the actor was recognised with a posthumous star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in Los Angeles. Liotta’s girlfriend Jacy Nittolo and his daughter Karsen Liotta attended the event, accepting the medal on her father’s behalf and expressing her delight in all of his accomplishments.
“I’m so honoured to accept this honour on behalf of my father,” she added. I couldn’t be happier for him. He was an exceptional performer as well as the finest friend, brother, and father anybody could wish for. “I got lucky with you.”You’re fortunate to have Ray in your life. Thank you for your efforts and the impression you made on me and everyone who loves you.”Ray deserves to be in everyone’s life.”
