The UK’s longest serving monarch Queen Elizabeth II passed away at Balmoral at the age of 96.
She served for 70 years from 1952-2022. She passed away at her Scottish estate where she spent her summers. The Queen was surrounded by close family and passed away peacefully.
Her son formerly known as Prince Charles will be the new King and will be known as King Charles III.
The whole world is mourning the death of the Queen not just in the U.K. Country leaders all over the world have expressed their condolences including US president Joe Biden and Canada’s Prime minister Justin Trudeau, both of whom new her well and were deeply saddened by the news.
Everyone who had met the late Queen said she had a great personality, she was very warm and even humorous. She was very particular in following her duties as the Queen and she did it dilligently till the end.
The UK’s Prime Minister Liz Truss said that the Queen was an inspiration to her and to all the women in the UK as well as the world.
