Police invade the singer’s house and arrest Sean Kingston.

After his mother was also taken into custody during a police search on his Florida property, singer Sean Kingston was taken into custody in California a few hours later.
A business accused Mr. Kingston in February of not paying the whole cost of an enormous TV and sound system.

According to Florida police, he was arrested on fraud and theft charges and put into jail at Fort Irwin, southern California.
Mr. Kingston claimed that his attorneys were “handling everything” in a previous social media post.
The singer, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, was listed as residing at the home in Fort Lauderdale that was the subject of the Florida police raid in court records dated February.
According to US media, including CBS News, a partner of the BBC, the lady detained was Mr. Kingston’s mother.
The Broward County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the raid to the BBC, stating that they executed search and arrest orders at the address.
“An adult female, Janice Turner, 2/16/1963, was taken into custody on numerous fraud and theft charges as a result of the investigation. This investigation is active and ongoing.”
Following that, it was alleged that officers were observed removing items from the residence. Whether the arrests were related to the company’s claims was not immediately apparent.
After many hours, Mr. Kingston was arrested in southern California, and according to Broward police, it went “without incident”. It was time for Mr. Kingston to be checked into a San Bernadino jail.
Requests for responses have been made of Mr. Kingston and his mother, Mama Kingston on Instagram.
Mr. Kingston seemed to comment on the events on his Instagram account prior to his arrest.
In reaction to rumours that the detained lady was his mother, the musician said, “I am good and so is my mother.”
“My lawyers are handling everything as we speak,” he said.
According to the AP news agency, the couple’s attorney accepted the accusations made against them and said, “We look forward to addressing these in court and are confident of a successful resolution.”
Ver Ver Entertainment asserts in court filings obtained by the BBC that Mr. Kingston reached out to the business on social media in September 2023 with the intention of buying a “232-inch Colossal TV, coupled with a robust sound system”.
According to the corporation, Mr. Kingston “induced” the company to install the devices with “as small a downpayment as possible” by offering “numerous false representations,” one of which was that he would collaborate with Justin Bieber on corporate promotional films.
The business claims that after the installation, Mr. Kingston neglected to pay the outstanding balance and was sued for fraud and breach of contract.
According to a lawyer for Ver Ver Entertainment, the firm hopes to get it back from the residence after the police raid, according to Miami’s Local 10 news.
“We know that our property is inside this house right here, so as soon as the raid takes place, we are going to have a crew of people in there to reassemble it and take it back to its rightful owner.”
Hit songs including “Beautiful Girls,” “Fire Burning,” and “Eenie Meenie with Justin Bieber” are well-known for 34-year-old Mr. Kingston.
