Olivia Wilde clarified that she fired Shia LeBeouf and chose Florence Pugh

On the Late-Night Show with Stephen Colbert, Olivia Wilde clarifies that she fired Shia LeBeouf from “Don’t Worry Darling”, Olivia went on to say that she was given an ultimatum by the star and that she chose Florence Pugh.

LeBeouf Claimed that Olivia had begged him to stay on the project, but Olivia clarified “That was him feeling he was stepping away and me feeling like we were moving on without him”.

Wilde also went on to say that early in the process of making the film she tried to mediate to see if they could work together but it became clear that it wasn’t going to work out between them and when she was given an ultimatum, she made her choice.

Wilde also expressed that she was bummed that she couldn’t make it work but when more information came to light, she realized that she had made the right decision. There was a video that went viral of Wilde asking LeBeouf to stay on in the film, but that video was taken out of context.
