Nic Kerdiles, a former hockey player, was killed in a motorbike accident in Tennessee.

Nic Kerdiles, a former hockey player who was formerly engaged to “Chrisley Knows Best” actress Savannah Chrisley, died early Saturday in a motorbike accident, according to officials.

Kerdiles, a 29-year-old motorbike rider, died after colliding with an SUV, according to the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.

“The preliminary investigation shows that Kerdiles was driving his Indian Motorcycle west on Wheless Street when he travelled through the stop sign and struck the driver’s side of the BMW,” the police said in a statement to NBC News affiliate WSMV in Nashville.

Kerdiles was transported to Vanderbilt University Medical Centre and declared dead Saturday, according to police.

The BMW driver pulled over, and neither driver seemed to be intoxicated. The agency said that no charges were expected.

Kerdiles posted an Instagram story hours before the collision showed a guy wearing a helmet standing on an Indian motorbike with the comment “Night rider.”

The Anaheim Ducks picked Kerdiles in the National Hockey League in 2012. On Saturday, the team paid respect to him.

“We are heartbroken to learn of Nic Kerdiles’ death in a motorbike accident this morning.” Nic, an Irvine native, became the Ducks’ first player from Orange County in 2017. “Our hearts go out to his family and loved ones,” they stated in a message on X, previously known as Twitter.

Kerdiles transitioned from hockey to real estate.

Kerdiles’ proposal to Chrisley was filmed four years ago for the USA Network reality programme. They never married and announced their divorce in September of 2020.

“Today, Heaven acquired the most beautiful angel. “I miss you and I love you,” Chrisley, 25, said on Instagram on Saturday.
