NaLyssa Smith, a forward with the Indiana Fever, gets to experience the best of both worlds in the WNBA. In Smith’s reality, a planet aspires to be the last playoff position in the league by imitating a rock star band on tour and performing in packed houses. Her other world allows her to shop at upscale establishments around the country and fulfill her fashion fantasies.
Smith, who is averaging 11.6 points and 7.6 rebounds this season while traveling from city to city, enjoys stopping into her favorite retailer, Louis Vuitton, because of the custom touches the upscale label puts to its spaces.

Smith said, “I adore Louis Vuitton,” to Andscape. “I adore how many brightly colored and uniquely designed outfits and shoes they release. The green version of the Tyler, the Creator and Louis Vuitton collaboration is my favorite pair.
Louis Vuitton Trainers are never ordered online by the 2019 NCAA champion. She much more enjoys the whole in-store experience. “I want to get my money’s worth and I want the whole experience if I’m going to spend $1,000 on shoes. I want everything, even the personalized water and champagne bottles.
Smith started to make her own money in college, which is when she first discovered her passion of style. She took great satisfaction in never hiring a stylist, and once she began attending Baylor University, she was thrilled to start putting the looks she had imagined into reality.
The three-time member of the Big 12 First Team gives appreciation to her parents for always making an effort to provide her access to the newest fashions.
“The ‘Powder Blue’ Jordan 3s were unquestionably the first shoe that made me go, ‘Oh my goodness, I have to have these,’” Smith said. “My parents used to always act in this way, making me believe I wouldn’t get the shoe, but in the end, they would get it for me.”
Smith often used neutral hues in her clothing as she was in route to winning the Big 12 Player of the Year award in 2021 and 2022 as well as the Big 12 Tournament Most Outstanding Player award in 2021. Wearing a tight sweatsuit and her beloved Jordans together was the definition of looking fly.
The 2021 Wade Trophy recipient now takes pleasure in reflecting on her personal “glo-up.” She said that even if the ensemble is from college, it shows that she is proud of it and is happy that she can now dress up a little on game day.
Smith said, “My first-ever away game outfit against the Phoenix Mercury was one of my favorite looks this season.” “I liked another outfit I had on, which included Timberlands and an oversized jersey.” The 1990s clearly had an influence on the jersey appearance. I love the really messy appearance. Probably my second favorite was the day I donned a New York jacket.
Puma signed the 23-year-old forward Smith to their women’s basketball team after the Fever selected him with the second overall choice in the 2022 draft. Despite owning many pairs of Puma shoes, she has a preference for one particular type, especially when it comes to bright, eye-catching hues.
Smith said, “I like to wear LaMelos only when I’m playing.” When I’m on the court, I like to stand out and not look like everybody else. Crazy hues are constantly available for the Melos.
Smith hopes to add vivid colors into her unique style as she develops further in the WNBA.
“My mother usually says that because I always wear the brightest and most colorful sneakers, she finds it incredibly simple to see me on the court. I really have made it my thing throughout the years, and I make an effort to avoid wearing the same old black and white sneakers.
