Miranda Lambert Interrupts Her Performance to Call Out Fans Taking Selfies: ‘It’s Pissed Me Off’

It all starts with a song, and Miranda Lambert believes that’s where the attention should remain.

On Saturday night, Lambert had just started performing her 2018 ACM song of the year winner “Tin Man” as part of her current Miranda Lambert: Velvet Rodeo The Las Vegas Residency when she noticed a few ladies near the stage who seemed more interested in taking selfies than listening to Lambert’s music.

“I’m going to stop right here for a second, I’m sorry,” Lambert told the Zappos Theatre crowd at Planet Hollywood Resort and Casino. “These girls are preoccupied with their selfies and aren’t paying attention to the song.”

“It irritates me a little,” she continued. I’m sorry, but I don’t like it. At all. Tonight, we’ve come to hear some country music. “I’m singing some d-n country music.”

“Shall we start again?” she asked the audience after motioning for the females to put their phones aside. As the crowd applauded, she resumed the song.

“When you’ve been touring as long as I have, there’s something really creative about imagining a residency in a city like Las Vegas,” Lambert remarked before to commencing her Las Vegas residency in September 2022. I’ve had a lot of fun designing our sets, merchandising, apparel, and boot lines – and even my residence on Broadway in Nashville, Casa Rosa – so this chance enables me to dig in a little further and think about how to truly bring country music to life in this space. I believe everyone will like what we’ve created. “I’m really looking forward to this!”

Aside from the residence, Lambert has also released her first cookbook, Y’all Eat Yet? Hello and welcome to the Pretty B*tchin’ Kitchen. She also appeared at CMA Fest in June, when she was joined by Avril Lavigne, Elle King, and Leon Bridges at different moments.
