Mateusz Bogusz, a midfielder for LAFC, has won the June 2024 MLS Player of the Month award.
With at least one goal contribution in every game during the month of June—a total of nine goal contributions (6g/3a)—Bogusz was the driving force behind an undefeated (4W-0L-1D) LAFC team. With nine goals in a single month, Bogusz is level with Columbus Crew midfielder Cucho Hernández for the league lead. He is also tied with FC Cincinnati’s Luciano Acosta, the current Landon Donovan MLS MVP, for the longest goal contribution streak in the league this season.

On June 29, Bogusz scored his first-ever MLS hat trick in a 3-0 victory against the Colorado Rapids to complete the month.
In his second full year with the team, the 22-year-old is having a breakthrough season, tallying five assists and 12 goals in 20 games, including four game-winning goals. throughout his nine-match goal contribution run, the Polish midfielder has nine goals and four assists, helping LAFC go undefeated (8W-0L-1D) throughout that time.

 After scoring three goals in back-to-back games against San Jose (2g/1a) and Colorado (3g), Bogusz became the fourth player in LAFC history to earn Player of the Month, behind Denis Bouanga, Adama Diomande, and Carlos Vela (twice). The only other Polish players in MLS history to get the honor are him and Piotr Nowak (May 1998).
With 40 points (12W-4L-4D), LAFC leads the Western Conference. On Thursday night, they will take on the LA Galaxy at the Rose Bowl in the most recent El Tráfico (10:30 pm ET / 7:30 PT | MLS Season Pass).
