Man City smash five goals in a friendly against Tokyo, with Haaland scoring twice.

Manchester City rallied from two goals behind to upset J-League champions Yokohama F-Marinos 5-3 on Sunday in their first match of a pre-season tour of Japan.

Pep Guardiola’s team also had goals from John Stones, Julian Alvarez, and Rodri in their first game since completing a historic triple by winning the Champions League final last month.

Only four of the players who began the game were in the first City XI versus Marinos in Tokyo, and they were a goal down after 27 minutes.

After Stefan Ortega saved his original attempt, Anderson Lopes pounced onto the rebound and converted crisply into the bottom corner.

Right-back Only 10 minutes later, Ken Matsubara made it 2-0, brilliantly guiding home with his first touch after fellow full-back Katsuya Nagato crossed into his path from the left side.

Stones equalised for City in the 40th minute, calmly slotting home from just inside the area after Alvarez’s lay-off.

City equalised two minutes later when Marinos custodian Jun Ichimori gave up control cheaply under pressure from Kalvin Phillips, and Alvarez was on hand to stroke home.

Guardiola made 10 outfield substitutions at halftime, including Haaland, who quickly put City ahead.

In the 52nd minute, the Norwegian, who scored 52 goals in his first season at City, shot home from an acute angle after collecting control from fellow replacement Phil Foden.

Rodri, whose goal in Istanbul secured the Champions League championship, scored a fourth 20 minutes later.

Marinos got a late consolation goal from Kenta Inoue with four minutes left before Haaland scored his second in the second minute of stoppage time.

City will meet Bayern Munich in Tokyo on Wednesday. They will next go to Seoul to play Atletico Madrid.
