Liga MX Femenil 2023: América Femenil vs Barcelona, when, where, and how to watch?

The iconic Azteca Stadium is ready to host a championship match. The United States women’s team, which defeated Pachuca in the Clausura 2023 final (led by Charlyn Corral and Jennifer Hermoso), will host the Barcelona women’s team, champions of the Champions League 2023, and which will include eight players who competed for Spain in the 2023 World Cup.

Barcelona will go to Mexico with 25 players to compete not only against America on August 29th, but also against the Tigres femenil on September 1st. Alexia Putellas, the world champion and double Olympic gold medalist, is part of the Azulgrana team, although she will go with Mara León on August 27.

Despite the fact that there are Spanish players in the Liga MX Femenil, like as Andrea Pereira, a former Barcelona player, this is the first time a match between the two teams is held in order to promote competitive development.

America is on one of its best football streaks, since they are not only the current champions, but also the Super Bowl champions, and they are on track to break the record for most consecutive victories. This will be a preseason match for the Barcelona.

The United States broke the country’s record for female football attendance at the end of the 2023 season when it faced Pachuca in front of 58,156 people.
