LeBron James

When the Blazers played, LeBron James was asked about Russell Westbrook’s shot selection.

On Sunday, with 30 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter of the game between the Lakers and the Trail Blazers, Russell Westbrook took an open jump jumper from a mid-range distance with the intention of giving his team an additional possession. The Lakers ended up winning the game by one point.

However, he was unable to make the shot, and Damian Lillard of Portland went on to make the three-pointer that proved to be the game-winning shot. As a result, Los Angeles fell to 0-3 to start the season.

After the game, someone asked LeBron James about his mindset on whether or not to go for a two-for-one possession in a circumstance like the one that had just occurred. James gave the impression of being annoyed by Westbrook’s choice. But he said that the reporters were trying to frame him in a way that would allow him to criticise his teammate.

James expressed his confusion by responding, “I don’t know, I feel like this interview is trying to set me up to say something.” “Right now, it seems like you guys fall into the entire Russell Westbrook category,” I can confidently say.

James acknowledged that he despises losing in any form and offered respect to the Blazers, but it was obvious that he had the impression that he was being asked to evaluate Westbrook.

James proceeded by saying, “You guys can write about Russ and everything you want to try and talk about Russ.” “You guys can talk about Russ.” “But I’m not up here to do that,” the speaker responded. That’s not going to happen. I’ve stated it over and over. That is not me; it is not a reflection of who I am.

The final score of the game was 106–104, and Westbrook finished with 10 points on 4-for-15 shooting, while James finished with 31 points, eight rebounds, and eight assists.
