Lakers News: LeBron James Skips Playoff Match to Receive NBA Accolade

Every NBA LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers lost out to Memphis Grizzlies All-Star point guard Ja Morant for this past week’s Western Conference Player of the Week award for the 18th–24th of December, according to the NBA’s official PR staff.

James averaged 30 points on.541/.500/.941 shooting splits, 9.3 rebounds, nine assists, 1.3 steals, and 1.3 blocks in 37.8 minutes per game over the course of three games last week (Los Angeles went 1-2 during that time).

James is going to be OK, so relax. The guy has more than twice as many Player of the Week titles (67) as the second-most successful player—the legendary Kobe Bryant of the Lakers—33.

Following his 25-game league sentence for his most recent gun-related misdemeanors, Morant has been unstoppable.

The 6’2″ super-athlete scored 28 points per game on.508/.182/.842 shooting splits, nine assists, and 5.7 rebounds per game to lead Memphis to a 3-0 week.

James, in addition to the Golden State Warriors Memphis Timberwolves point guard Stephen Curry is an All-NBA player.
