Julián Figueroa, the son of Maribel Guardia and the late Joan Sebastian, was discovered dead on April 9th.
According to Guardia, the medical team informed her that her son died as a result of a heart attack and ventricular fibrilación. The City of Mexico’s General Prosecutor’s Office said that the causes of Figueroa’s death were natural, and that there was no evidence of a violent death or any other crime.
Maribel Guardia, 63, who said that her son’s funeral would be private, sent a message in which she confirmed his death.
“I feel compelled to inform you of the departure of my beloved son Julián Figueroa, who, sadly, left us behind on this plan.” They found him unconscious in his room last night, when I was at the theatre. “They dialled 911, and when the ambulance and police arrived, he was already dead, with no sign of violence,” says the well-known Costa Rican artist’s publication, which was released on April 10th.
The Figueroa family has been devastated by the unexpected death of the singer, according to Marco Chacón, Guardia’s current wife, in an interview with many media outlets upon her arrival at the airport.
“Estamos emocionados, estamos en shock, personalmente no me cae el veinte, pasé toda la noche arreglando cosas con diferentes personas.” It’s a little unexpected, and to be honest, I’m not sure what to say since I’m not feeling well and my words aren’t flowing,” Chacón said. “I’ve been with him since he was two years old, I’ve been with him through all stages of his life, and it’s a shame he’s gotten so young.”
In addition, Chacón denied any previously known disease. “Naada. “Tuve covid hace poco, pero estaba bien, en términos generales bien,” he assured, adding that his wife, Maribel Guardia, is devastated and has not been in front of any media since the news broke.
Julián is Joan Sebastian’s third child to die, after the deaths of Trigo Figueroa in 2006 and Juan Sebastian in 2010.
The 28-year-old artist was discovered dead in a house in Mexico City’s Jardines del Pedregal colonia. Joan Sebastian’s son, José Julián, was the father of a three-year-old son with his wife, Imelda Garza.
A carroza fnebre left the house with the body at 2:42 a.m., according to Univision Espectáculos.
The young actor and singer has released many albums, including “Julián Figueroa y su banda.” Canciones such as “La trampa,” “Yo sera,” and “Cómo olvidar” are among his musical successes.
At the age of eight, “El Rey del Jaripeo’s” son began playing the guitar. Later, he studied singing and musical composition. Julián also had an acting career, appearing in films such as “Mi camino es amarte” and the biographical series “Por siempre Joan Sebastian,” according to Reforma.
His most recent Instagram message was sent on April 8, the day before Joan Sebastian’s 72nd birthday. “Al demonio con los Grammys, fama y dinero, mi sólo deseo es abrazarte… una vez más,” reads the message.
