Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis

In a joint statement, Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis address the “false” allegations made by the former nanny.

According to a former nanny, Sudeikis was so “brokenhearted” by Wilde’s romance with Harry Styles that he allegedly “laid beneath her car” to prevent her from leaving their home.

In a joint statement, ex-couples Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis denied the nanny’s assertions that their relationship had ended.

Prior to becoming engaged in 2013, Sudeikis and Wilde began dating in 2011. They had two children together, Otis, 8, and Daisy, 5, but after their breakup in November 2020, they never got married.

By January 2021, Wilde had a romantic relationship with Harry Styles, a former member of One Direction, whom she had first met when he was cast in her movie Don’t Worry, Darling, around September 2020.

When asked by Vanity Fair last month about rumours that she “left Jason for Harry,” Wilde insisted that her relationship with Sudeikis “was finished long before” she even met the singer.

However, a former nanny for the pair came up with her own allegations concerning the breakdown of Wilde and Sudeikis’ relationship in an exclusive interview with the Daily Mail published on Tuesday. She said that Wilde “abandoned” the family to pursue Styles.

The nanny supplied supposed text exchanges between herself and the well-known couple as well as in-depth anecdotes about her time looking after their two children. The nanny, who was unnamed by the publication but is said to have worked for Sudeikis and Wilde for three years, was unnamed.

She asserted more than once that Wilde’s alleged pursuit of Styles started while she and Sudeikis appeared to still be dating, implying that Wilde didn’t formally quit the relationship until November 8 — two months after Styles was allegedly first introduced to her.

“When I returned after a weekend off on Monday, Nov. 9, [Sudeikis] was crying a lot, crying nonstop. I had absolutely no idea what had transpired,” the nanny admitted. “Jason came upstairs and was drinking coffee after I had finished getting the kids ready. She left us, he cried and was in a mess. We lost her!

The Ted Lasso actor is said to have been “brokenhearted” after learning the entire depth of Styles and Wilde’s connection from text messages he obtained on Wilde’s Apple Watch.

The couple’s LA home’s nanny recalled one instance when Sudeikis allegedly became so furious after witnessing Wilde make a salad for Styles using her “special dressing” that he “went outside and slept under her car so she wouldn’t go.”

It was back and forth as she returned to the house and he entered. The nanny alleged, “He said he was doing it on purpose to delay her going to see Harry.

Wilde and Sudeikis issued a statement to People hours after the interview’s publication, labelling the nanny’s charges as “false and scurrilous.”

The ex-couple added that the former nanny’s accusations mark the “unfortunate apex” of a “18 month long campaign” of harassment. “As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly,” the former couple said.

“We will continue to concentrate on raising and protecting our children in the honest hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone,” they declared in their conclusion.

The joint statement from Wilde and Sudeikis follows several months of court battles over the custody of their kids.

Wilde publicly accused her ex of trying to humiliate her earlier this year by having a process server deliver court papers to her while she was speaking onstage at CinemaCon in April.

During that time, a spokesperson for Sudeikis claimed that he “had no prior knowledge of the time or place that the envelope would have been delivered” and “would never condone [her] being served in such an inappropriate manner.

However, Wilde asserted that Sudeikis intended to “threaten” her in legal filings submitted months after the incident in August.

She said that it was terribly against the interests of the children for Jason to embarrass me professionally and put our private dispute on display in this way.

Although Sudeikis stated that he had not planned for Wilde to be served onstage, he apologised for tarnishing her “special moment” in the same court documents.

In the paperwork, Sudeikis stated, “I appreciate that the process server had merely been doing her job, but I profoundly regret what transpired. “I am sincerely sorry that the incident ruined Olivia’s unique moment,” said the speaker. “Olivia’s lecture was a significant event for Olivia, both professionally and personally.”
