The 39-year-old singer has confirmed that she and her fiancé, Allan Russell, are expecting their first child.
Jana, who has a seven-year-old daughter Jolie and a four-year-old son Jace with her ex-husband Mike Caussin, told PEOPLE, “I didn’t think it would ever happen again, if I’m being honest.” I’ve gone through a lot, so this has been a very lovely thing for me.
“I’m taking it all in.” It’s all I’d hoped for and more. Allan was wonderful. He sent me a sticky note that said, ‘You deserve the happy ending.’”
Jana had doubts about having another child after experiencing heartbreaking losses in the past.
But the singer is overjoyed to have another child on the way.
“I’d had miscarriages, so I didn’t even know it was possible,” she said.Yes, it would be lovely for us to develop something since I adore this guy. It was the silver lining to everything that occurred, but I was constantly sad about it since I didn’t know whether I could carry a pregnancy again.”I was like, well, I’m turning 40 in December, so we have one month to try. Exactly one month.”
Jana confirmed her engagement to Allan in May.
After six months of dating, the singer disclosed that she accepted Allan’s proposal.
Jana said on her ‘Whine Down’ podcast, “So, Allan and I have been dating for… six and a half months.” And then he proposed to me!”
Allan’s proposal was also regarded as the “cutest thing ever” by Jana.
“It was a really beautiful night, and me and the kids were sitting on the front porch steps, looking out at the view,” she said.When he spoke my name, I stood up, and he went down on one knee. Then Jolie began bouncing up and down… it was the sweetest thing ever. It’s as though she was aware of what was going on.”
