Here’s How Megan Thee Stallion Reacted to Justin Timberlake Rumours at the VMAs.

Megan Thee Stallion want to state unequivocally that she has no problem with Justin Timberlake. The Grammy-winning “Savage” rapper went to TikTok on Wednesday morning (Sept. 13) to clear up any misunderstanding caused by a widely misconstrued video from backstage at the 2023 MTV Video Music Awards on Tuesday night (Sept. 12).

Megan’s TikTok video shows her speaking with Timberlake while using her hands to emphasis her sentences — but viewers can’t hear what the two are saying. Megan instead set the video to the music of Do As Infinity’s “Fukai Mori,” a 2001 J-pop song that served as the second closing theme for the famous anime series Inuyasha — an homage to her well-documented love of anime.

The rapper seems to remark something along the lines of, “I’m not beefing with Justin Timberlake, chill!” in the video. before the pop diva interrupts with her trademark “Real hot girl s-t!” ad-lib. Megan captioned her Instagram picture, where she shared the TikTok, “I just talk with my hands lol @justintimberlake love ya.”

Fans rushed to Megan’s defence when a backstage video from Tuesday night’s VMAs event seemed to show her and Timberlake having a verbal spat. According to Billboard, Megan was merely thrilled to meet Timberlake and insisted on a formal introduction in a less crowded setting.

Outside of this viral moment, both performers had great VMAs evenings. Megan and Cardi B performed their groovy new “Bongos” collaboration live for the first time, while Timberlake reunited with his *NSYNC comrades for the first time in ten years.
