Former Playboy model accuses Bill Cosby of sexual assault.

Former Playboy model Victoria Valentino has filed a new complaint against Bill Cosby, alleging that he drugged and sexually abused her.

The 80-year-old claims Mr. Cosby assaulted her after she had dinner with him in 1969.

When his sexual assault conviction was reversed in 2021, Mr. Cosby was released from jail.

Ms Valentino filed the civil claim in accordance with a California legislation that temporarily suspends the statute of limitations in sexual assault cases.

In the complaint, she claims that after she and her companion ingested drugs given by Mr. Cosby, he brought them to a neighbouring office. She claims she went unconscious and was molested after waking up there.

According to the lawsuit, she said Mr. Cosby, “I want to go home now” and was “incapable of consent” and “physically helpless.”

Ms Valentino is seeking unspecified monetary damages, as well as court and legal expenses.

Mr. Cosby has been contacted by the BBC for comment.

Ms Valentino said in a statement that the trauma inflicted on her by the 85-year-old had damaged “not only me, but my children and grandchildren.”

“By breaking my silence and speaking my truth, I hope this serves as my legacy to my family, and shows those survivors who have yet to find their voices, that hope and healing are possible,” she said in a statement sent to US media.

Andrew Wyatt, a spokesperson for Mr Cosby, told US media sites that Ms Valentino’s accusations were “without any proof or facts” and that she had “inconsistencies in her many statements.”

Mr. Cosby was formerly regarded as “America’s Dad” and featured in the 1980s blockbuster comedy The Cosby Show.

His reputation was devastated, however, when scores of women came forward with allegations of rape, sexual harassment, and sexual misconduct dating back to the 1960s. Mr. Cosby has rejected the charges repeatedly, stating that all of his sexual encounters were consensual.

In 2018, he was convicted of aggravated indecent assault against Andrea Constand in Pennsylvania.

The conviction was reversed when the state’s top court determined that Mr Cosby should not have been placed on trial since he had agreed not to be prosecuted with a prior prosecutor in 2005.

In a civil case this year, a jury in California convicted Mr. Cosby guilty of sexually assaulting a 16-year-old girl at the Playboy Mansion in Los Angeles in 1975. He was fined $500,000 (£399,000) in damages.
