The Detroit Lions defeated the New York Giants 21-16 in their first preseason game of the season.
Fans in attendance expressed anticipation that this is the start of a wonderful season.
“Compared to previous seasons, they performed better this year.” “I think they’re improving on last year,” said Brenden Armistead, an Australian Lions supporter.
The Faggie family is also enjoying the attention.
“We reside in San Diego and are in town. “I’m from Detroit, so I’ve been a lifelong Lions fan,” Alice Faggie said. “It was always ‘this is the year, this is the year.’ And it’s thrilling because I believe this may be the year.”
Many fans agreed, like Eric Unger, whose Detroit Lions YouTube channel, “It’s 2 Easy,” is dedicated to the team.
“We’ve nearly upgraded every position.” Everyone performed well. We concluded the year with an 8-2 record, and we improved. “The leagues need to be careful,” he said.
Unger and his friends attend every Lions game, home and away.
“I’m sure there will be a lot more Lions fans out at away games this year, and I can’t wait to see all of them.”
Lions supporters, he says, have a lot to look forward to this season.
“We made the playoffs and hosted a playoff game.” That’s Jared Goff chucking it. On defence, my buddy Derrick Barnes is making every tackle. I’m really looking forward to this year. This year, we want to be a fantastic squad.”
The Lions’ next preseason game is against the Jaguars on August 16 at Ford Field.
