Following the Lakers’ tenth defeat in 13 games, LeBron James is brutally honest: “We’re just bad right now.”

After the Los Angeles Lakers’ 127-113 defeat to the Memphis Grizzlies on Friday, LeBron James was unable to control his emotions.

With 32 points, James led the team in scoring, but in the fourth quarter, he also made three mistakes and went 2-for-6 from the foul line. James become more direct in his responses when reporters questioned him about the game’s details in the locker room.

James said, “I mean, we just suck right now,” five questions into his media appearance.

It was Los Angeles’s fourth straight loss and their tenth in 13 games. The game exposed the Lakers’ problems as they allowed a season-high 23 3-pointers. Memphis’s 3-point shooting % this season is the lowest in the NBA, which exacerbates the situation. Nevertheless, with the score knotted at the end of the third quarter, the Lakers had a chance to win. However, everything fell apart in the fourth quarter as the Grizzlies defeated the Lakers by a score of 14 points.

When the 39-year-old was questioned about former Cleveland Cavaliers player Ricky Rubio, who announced his retirement on Thursday, things took a hilarious turn.

The elite games that Ham mentioned occurred on December 9 in Las Vegas, when the Lakers won the first-ever In-Season Tournament Championship. Only the Oklahoma City Thunder, Charlotte Hornets, and San Antonio Spurs have defeated Los Angeles in the last four weeks.

James rejected the notion that the competition would be mentioned as motivation.

Memphis won on Friday by putting up a strong fight. Jaren Jackson Jr. led the team with 31 points, while four players scored 20 or more.

In the third quarter, even Grizzlies head coach Taylor Jenkins seemed ready for his own altercation. During the game, he went onto the court when James failed to call a foul on Jackson that seemed to be. After his team won, Jenkins apologized and for some reason wasn’t sent off.

Los Angeles is currently 11th in the Western Conference with a 17-19 record. It won’t be an easy rebound in the next game either. The Los Angeles Clippers, who have only lost two of their previous 16 games, will take on the Lakers on Sunday.
