Florida prepares for a Hurricane

On Friday a tropical storm was seen forming in the Caribbean Sea and was given the name Ian. Most of the Florida peninsula has been included in the area that may be affected and have begun preparations for a hurricane in the days ahead.

The intensity if the storm is said to increase as it will be joining three other systems that are roaming nearby in the Atlantic basin that includes the post tropical cyclone named Fiona which is affecting Canada and storms Gaston and Hermine that are near Azores and Hermine on the far east.

Tropical storm Ian located about 315 miles southeast of Kingston and 600 miles away from the Cayman Islands. Ian has maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and moving west at the speed of 14 mph.

Warnings have been issued in the Cayman Islands and in Jamaica. The next 24 hours are going to be very crucial. By Monday the storm is said to reach somewhere around the Gulf of Mexico and in the vicinity of the Florida Peninsula.
