Bruno Fernandes scored twice and Bernardo Silva also scored as Portugal defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0 at home on Saturday, their third consecutive victory in Euro 2024 qualification.
Roberto Martinez’s team leads Group J with nine points and will be hoping for their fourth consecutive win against Iceland on Tuesday. Bosnia is fourth with three points and will host Luxembourg next.
Portugal controlled possession but didn’t score until just before halftime, when Silva chipped in from Fernandes’ feed for his 11th international goal.
Fernandes extended the lead in the 77th minute with a stunning header from Ruben Neves’ cross before completing the game in stoppage time with a thunderous volley to reach 15 international goals.
