Real Madrid defeated Sevilla 1-0 in La Liga thanks to a goal from Luka Modric. In the 81st minute, the Croatian international scored from the outside of the penalty area to keep Real Madrid ahead of Barcelona by five points at the top.
After defeating the 10-man Lions 3-1, Real Betis, now ranked sixth in the league, is now seven points behind Athletic Bilbao, in fifth place. In Serie A, Internazionale defeated Lecce 4-0 to extend their winning streak in 2024. Inter’s winning streak in all competitions reached ten games thanks to goals from Stefan de Vrij, Davide Frattesi, and Lautaro Martínez.
They are still nine points clear of Juventus, who were saved from defeat by Daniele Rugani’s late stoppage-time goal to defeat Frosinone 3-2 after Dusan Vlahovic’s double gave them the lead.
In a 1-1 draw with Cagliari, Zito Luvumbo canceled out Victor Osimhen’s second-half goal for Napoli, who were also denied a win by a late goal. Teun Koopmeiners’ penalty, which negated Rafael Leao’s opening kick in a 1-1 draw with Milan, put Atalanta in the running for a spot in the top four of Serie A.
In a 1-1 draw with Rennes in Ligue 1, Paris Saint-Germain needed a late penalty from Gonçalo Ramos to salvage a point. At the Orange Velodrome, Marseille defeated struggling Montpellier 4-1 thanks to two goals from Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Mousa al-Tamari gave the visitors the lead after five minutes, but Iliman Ndiaye pulled one back before Aubameyang, a former striker for Arsenal, added two more goals either side of halftime. Falaye Sacko’s own goal added even more agony for Montpellier.
After a goalless draw between bottom-of-the-table Clemont and Nice, Monaco moved up to third place. Monaco needed a late goal to defeat Lens 3-2. After defeating Borussia Dortmund 3-2, Hoffenheim moved up to seventh place in the Bundesliga thanks to a fast double from Maximilian Beier. Ihlas Bebou gave Hoffenheim the lead after only two minutes of play, setting up a fantastic start. However, Donyell Malen and Nico Schlotterbeck scored goals four minutes apart to give Dortmund the lead at the half.
After Hoffenheim tied 2-2 with Wolfsburg, they are currently four points behind Eintracht Frankfurt. However, in the 61st and 64th minutes, Beier scored to steal the win for Hoffenheim.
Two minutes into stoppage time, Omar Marmoush tied the score with his previous team, Wolfsburg, after Philipp Max had canceled out Maxence Lacroix’s opening goal. Kevin Behrens then restored Wolfsburg’s advantage.

After suffering a severe head injury in a Ligue 2 match against Guingamp, Alberth Elis, a striker for Bordeaux, had surgery, his team announced on Sunday.
Just 40 seconds into the match on Saturday at Nouveau Stade de Bordeaux, the 28-year-old Honduran international crashed into Guingamp defender Donatien Gomis. He was taken off the field on a stretcher.
With a 1-0 victory against Guingamp, Bordeaux, in 13th position, reported that Elis was taken to the hospital immediately following the event and had surgery that night. Elis needed to be put in a protected artificial coma, they continued.
Over the next days, we will keep an eye on his status while he is in the hospital. Alberth’s vital and functional prognosis cannot yet be determined at this time, according to Bordeaux’s statement. “The club will not be making any additional comments regarding Alberth’s health and anticipates that it will not be able to communicate any new, significant information for a few days.”
