DL, Packers Kenny Clark accepts a contract extension worth $64 million for three years.

One of Green Bay’s Pro Bowl players is here to stay.
According to sources, the Packers and nose tackle Kenny Clark have reached an agreement on a three-year, $64 million contract extension, as reported by NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport on Sunday. According to Rapoport, Clark will now receive $29 million for the 2024 campaign.

Clark signed his first contract with the club in 2020, and the organization subsequently confirmed the renewal.
After five NFL seasons, Clark is coming off his third Pro Bowl season. In 17 games in 2023, he had a career-high 7.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits. Being one of the top interior lineman in the league, Clark led the Green Bay defense all season long. It was one of his best performances to date.
The 28-year-old’s reliable availability has been crucial to the Packers’ prior postseason campaigns. Only once since 2019, his first Pro Bowl season, has Clark started less than 16 games in a season. Along with his new contract, he’ll have a new voice in his ear next year since Jeff Hafley, the defensive coordinator, joined the club this summer.
Now that Clark is under contract, Green Bay can turn its attention to landing quarterback Jordan Love on a long-term contract. Given that the QB market seems to be expanding with every signing, the Packers would prefer to extend Love before the season begins. In earlier months, signal-caller Trevor Lawrence of the Jaguars and quarterback Jared Goff of the Lions both signed contract extensions.
With training camp started in Green Bay, Clark can prepare for the 2024 season with no concerns about security beyond this year.
