Death at 34 of actor Cody Longo from “Days of Our Lives” and “Hollywood Heights”

A spokesperson confirmed to The Times that Cody Longo, an actor and singer best known for his part in the serial series “Days of Our Lives,” was discovered dead at his Austin, Texas, home on Friday. He was 34.
According to the actor’s agent and friend Alex Gittelson, on Friday when Longo’s wife, who had been working at a dance class, had trouble contacting him, police were summoned to the residence. Longo was discovered asleep, dozing off on his bed.

Longo’s family members allege that he suffered with drinking and sought therapy this summer, despite the fact that the reason of his death is still unknown.

Cody was our whole world, Longo’s wife, Stephanie Clark, said in a statement. “The kids and I are completely heartbroken and inconsolable. He was the ultimate parent and father figure. You will always be missed and loved.
Young adult Longo first began acting, and his big break came in 2009 when he earned a recurring role in the adolescent drama “Make It or Break It.” His greatest recognition came in 2011 because to his involvement in the NBC and current Peacock serial opera “Days of Our Lives.”

He also played the rock superstar Eddie Duran in the Nick at Nite episode “Hollywood Heights.”
Longo, also known as Cody Anthony, gave up acting in recent years to focus on his music career and spend more time with his family in Nashville. Gittelson said.
In an email, he said that he was eager to return to acting this year and that “we had been in conversation on a regular basis.” Cody was a devoted, kind, and intelligent guy who will be sorely missed.
