DeAndre Hopkins' Next Team Odds Continue Swaying

DeAndre Hopkins’ Next Team Odds Continue Swaying

We’re getting closer to training camp, and former Arizona Cardinals wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins still doesn’t have a place to call home in 2023.

Perhaps this was done on purpose, since Hopkins (31 years old) is unlikely to want to go through the gruelling programme of training camp practises before of the regular season.

However, it is in his best interests to get acquainted with any new squad he selects as soon as possible in order to fully acclimatise himself to his new system.

Even while Hopkins was on the roster, there was a lot of discussion about where he might play next. Following his release by the Cardinals, speculation about prospective landing destinations has continued.

Even the mysterious and all-knowing brains of Las Vegas bookies have no idea where Hopkins may end up, as chances for who the All-Pro receiver will play for in 2023 have moved overnight.

The Titans had been one of the frontrunners to sign Hopkins and are one of just two clubs to meet with him once he became a free agency, the other being the New England Patriots.

The Chiefs make sense for Hopkins because he wants to compete for a Super Bowl, something he was unable to achieve in either Arizona or Houston. The Buffalo Bills are another team to keep an eye on.

Hopkins seems to be looking for something similar to the $19.45 million in salary he was owed this season before being released, which was a huge barrier for clubs looking to trade for his rights earlier in the offseason.

Kansas City allegedly talked with Hopkins before to the 2023 NFL Draught and almost had a deal in place when Odell Beckham Jr. signed a $15 million contract with the Baltimore Ravens, setting the standard for Hopkins to accept nothing less.

The announcement is expected to come shortly, but it is evident that Hopkins is undecided.
