Chris Hemsworth is one of the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s finest ambassadors. The MCU has been successful in launching a number of performers to prominence. He was previously best known for his role as Kirk’s father in the first few minutes of the 2009 Star Trek reboot, but the 2011 release of the first Thor movie rocketed his career to the point where he now has a new action franchise with Netflix’s Extraction and the recently released Disney+ series Limitless.
The fourth episode of the recently released television series Limitless revealed to Chris Hemsworth that he had a “strong” genetic propensity to acquire Alzheimer’s disease in later life. The APOE4 gene, which is linked to a higher risk of the memory-loss condition, is present in both of his parents. He has thus declared a temporary hiatus from performing in order to spend more time with his wife Elsa Pataky and their three children.
Chris Hemsworth told Vanity Fair, “I truly felt like it triggered something in me to want to take some time off.” And ever since the programme ended, I’ve been fulfilling the tasks for which I already had a contract. […] I’m returning home, taking some time off, and trying to keep things simple. Be with my wife and the kids. He decided to include the parts in which he learns about his probable medical career despite Disney’s request to cut them out since they are unexpectedly honest. “I simply didn’t want to twist it and overdramatize it and turn it into some type of cheesy grab at empathy or something for entertainment,” was my main worry.
Chris Hemsworth acknowledged the prospect of a future return to the role of Thor despite his temporary sabbatical. He first said, “I’m open to it if there are more,” but then he was more direct, stating, “I’d be OK if that potential Thor 5 served as my final one.” If I ever did that again, we’d definitely have to call it a day, you know what I mean? I think that’s definitely warranted,” he replied. “I have a feeling that it would be the end, but it is not based on anything anyone has spoken or any kind of planning. I’m not sure whether I’ve reached that point yet, but you have the hero’s birth, voyage, and death. No one knows.
In George Miller’s Furiosa, a prequel to the critically popular Mad Max: Fury Road movie, he will play one of his next roles. The Australian actor’s comments about working with Miller, whom he called “a genius, but not the lunatic sort,” may provide some insight into what he plans to accomplish with the rest of his acting career. “I told my agent, ‘With someone who is nice, collaborative, and intriguing, that’s where I want to spend my work hours.’” […] One who is highly conscious of the impact his energy has on others…and chooses to make it good. Everyone on the team is happier overall. I find it incomprehensible that some people in such situation don’t comprehend it.
