Ariana Grande is seeing her Wicked co-star, Ethan Slater, after splitting from her husband, former The Voice coach Dalton Gomez, in January.
According to TMZ, the singer and Ethan Slater, who portrays Boq in the film adaptation of the Broadway musical, began dating many months ago while filming. Glinda the Good Witch is played by Ariana.
A picture leaked in March of Ariana and Ethan standing next to one other as the cast of “Wicked” celebrated Michelle Yeoh’s Oscar triumph in London. I yoinked it from The Daily Mail since I couldn’t locate the original on Yeoh’s Instagram. TMZ included it in their report as well.
Ariana and Dalton have not officially filed divorce papers, but according to TMZ, they will do so shortly. Their relationship, however, has been over since January. According to TMZ, Ariana and Dalton are still cordial, and he’s dating.
Who exactly is Ethan Slater?
Ethan has been married to singer Lilly Jay since 2018, and the couple has a kid. According to TMZ, Ariana and Ethan started dating after he divorced Lilly.
Ethan made his Broadway debut as the title character in the SpongeBob SquarePants production from 2017 to 2018, after appearing off-Broadway in Baghdaddy and other musicals.
Ethan won a Tony nomination as well as a Drama Desk award.
Off-Broadway, he appeared in Camelot, Assassins, and Goodnight, Oscar before joining Ariana in the film version of Wicked.
Ethan, who was born in 1992, was a sophomore in college when he earned the part of SpongeBob SquarePants. He married his high school love, Jay, in 2018, six years after they started dating.
