Anthony Davis of the Los Angeles Lakers has a blunt retort to social media criticism.

Last week, Lakers big Anthony Davis performed well in Game 1 of his team’s Western Conference semifinal series against the Warriors in the second round of the NBA playoffs, ending with 30 points and 23 rebounds in 44 minutes.

However, Davis was restricted to only 11 points and seven rebounds in Game 2, a stark difference to just a few days previous.

Despite the unfavourable social media response to his performance, Davis told Bleacher Report’s Chris Haynes that he doesn’t pay attention to the outside noise.

“Hell no, I’m not on social media, and I haven’t been for about four months,” Davis said. “I’m not sure what anybody is saying. Most of the time, it’s merely clickbait to get viewers. I don’t pay any attention to that s—.”

Davis then went on an NSFW tirade about how he doesn’t care what his detractors think on social media.

“I have three children and a wife I want to keep happy.” “I don’t need any more stress,” Davis said. “You obviously want to compete at the highest level and give your all, but s—, it doesn’t always work out that way.” I have no idea what was said, and I don’t care. In this locker room, I have 15 m—–f—— and a coaching staff that I respect. It’s my solid support system outside of them. “Those are the only voices I allow in.”

Despite saying he didn’t listen to the critics before of Saturday’s Game 3, Davis responded with 25 points and 13 rebounds in 33 minutes in the Lakers’ 127-97 victory.
