Angus Cloud, the star of HBO's 'Euphoria,' has died at the age of 25.

Angus Cloud, the star of HBO’s ‘Euphoria,’ has died at the age of 25.

Angus Cloud, a fan favourite from HBO’s “Euphoria” series, died at the age of 25, his family said Monday.

According to family members, Angus had been struggling with suicide thoughts since returning from Ireland, where his father was put to rest a week ago.

According to his reps, he died at his family’s home in Oakland, California. According to the reports, he was living with family while he worked through his sorrow.

“The only comfort we have is knowing Angus is now reunited with his dad, who was his best friend,” the family stated in a statement. “Angus was open about his struggle with mental health, and we hope that his death will serve as a reminder to others that they are not alone and should not fight this alone in silence.”

An Oakland Fire Department representative said that about 11:30 a.m., first responders were summoned to a location affiliated with the actor.

“Upon arrival of Fire EMS personnel, the patient was determined to be already deceased,” according to an email from the spokeswoman.

He said that the reason of death was unknown.

Fans rushed to Cloud’s Instagram comment area shortly after the news of his passing surfaced on Monday. A torrent of emotional condolences were left on one of his latest postings, which looked to be an homage to his father.

“Rip the both of you are reunited again, sweet talented soul gone too soon,” wrote one.

“I’m so sorry, sending love,” said another. “He was so sweet.”

Cloud, best known for his breakthrough role as Fezco in the HBO adolescent drama, claimed a casting agent noticed him on the street and that he had never professionally acted before the series. His likeable and funny persona soon won over the series’ devoted followers.

In a March interview, he told i-D magazine that he was different from other performers since he wasn’t looking for fame when he took on the part.

“They were working really hard, and they were like, ‘I’m going to make it to the top,’” he said. “It was just too good an opportunity for me to pass up.” I had no clue things would go to this point.”

In a statement uploaded to its social media on Monday, HBO said it was “incredibly saddened” to learn of Cloud’s passing.

“He was a beloved member of the HBO and Euphoria families,” the business added. “During this difficult time, we extend our heartfelt condolences to his friends and family.”

Cloud’s passing was grieved by “Euphoria” creator Sam Levinson.

“There was no one quite like Angus,” the filmmaker said. “He was far too special, far too talented, and far too young to leave us so suddenly.” He, like many of us, suffered with addiction and despair. I wish he realised how many people’s hearts he touched.”

Cloud’s depiction of Fezco, an adolescent drug dealer who lives with his grandmother, was well received by audiences. Fezco established a love involvement with Maude Apatow’s character, Lexi, in the most recent season, which fans pushed for online.

One of the closest ties Fezco formed throughout the series was with his infant adopted brother, Ashtray, whom he took on the burden of caring for.

Ashtray was killed in the season two finale following a gunfight with police, which many have praised as one of Cloud’s most dramatic performances on the show.

Javon Walton, who portrayed Ashtray, paid homage to Cloud on Instagram with the phrase “rest easy brother.”

Fans started to notice how close Cloud’s demeanour was getting to that of his character as he gave more interviews. Last year, he told Variety that portraying the traditionally stoic role was extremely draining on certain days.

“I’m a pretty easygoing, goofy guy,” Cloud said. “However, Fezco doesn’t laugh or smile all that much.”

Cloud’s distinctive style has been on show since his “Euphoria” debut in 2019, adding flare and charm to red carpet events. Growing up in Oakland, California’s secondhand shops, he stated in an interview with i-D, helped him build his own distinctive sense of style.
