Andy Cohen’s buddy, ohn Mayer, is renting out his NYC flat.

The Post has learnt that John Mayer’s longstanding Manhattan flat is for rent at $17,500 per month.
Mayer, 45, resided at 225 Lafayette Street in Soho from 2006 until 2013.

Aside from this old residence, the Grammy-winning artist has known Bravo executive Andy Cohen for 25 years — but it was when Mayer resided in this flat that the two strengthened their friendship, according to insiders.
“This was around the time that John and Andy started hanging out a lot,” one source said. “They both lived really close to each other, still do today, and their friendship just kind of blossomed from there.”
Cohen had moved into 2 Horatio St. at the time, where he currently lives, in addition to a $18.3 million West Village penthouse home he acquired last year.
Meanwhile, Mayer paid $2.17 million for this corner two-bedroom, three-bathroom condo before selling it for $3.19 million, according to documents.
In terms of Mayer, Cohen acknowledged to being “star-struck for the first five years.”
“I’m still titillated by our friendship, but I’ve gotten over the excitement of the newness of it,” Cohen said on Howard Stern on Wednesday. “You digest that it’s there after 20 years of friendship.”
Following an episode of Stern’s SiriusXM programme, he also said that he was “in love” with the “Gravity” singer.
“I’m crazy about John Mayer.” “We’re madly in love.”
Mayer has also expressed his feelings regarding his connection with Cohen.
“I’ve walked with him down city streets and FaceTimed with him as he goes about his day, and every time he’s recognised, he says ‘hello’ to me as if I’m a friend.” ‘How’s it going, Andy?’ ‘Good day, Andy!’ ‘I agree with everything you stated about de Blasio!’ Mayer said, “He’s also my friend, my dear friend.” “And there are times in life when you just need a friend you can rely on.”
“He’s a Deadhead and a Madonna fan. “He’s an A-lister with the free spirit of a C-lister who parties like a B-lister,” Mayer added. “I adore Andy beyond words. He’s a bright human being, a humorous teammate, a kind son and brother — and, more lately, a proud, involved, and truly dedicated father.”
Mayer’s flat on the 12th floor was just 12 minutes by vehicle from Cohen’s.
Mayer’s old flat, which was over 2,000 square feet in size, was recently completely renovated.
The property is fully furnished and has 16 enormous windows for maximum sunshine, a home office for remote work, and panoramic city views.
According to the description, other amenities include an entrance foyer, a dining area, Brazilian Walnut flooring, high-beamed ceilings, and an open chef’s kitchen with high-end equipment.
The other end of the house features a large principal suite that has been designated as a “quiet retreat.” It has a living area, a king-size bedroom and an ensuite bathroom with a walk-in shower and a double vanity.
The spare bedroom has an ensuite bath as well and “can easily accommodate an office or reading nook,” according to the advertisement.
There are in-unit laundry facilities, a bath room for visitors, and storage space to round out the residence.
The house was last sold for $3.92 million in 2018.
The listing is held by Compass’s Nick Gavin.
Mayer relocated to Montana shortly after selling his home to get away from the limelight. Around this time, he came under fire for a series of interviews in which he made disparaging remarks about past girlfriends such as Jessica Simpson and Jennifer Aniston.
Cass Gilbert built this 12-story classic Soho building in 1923; it was converted to a condominium in 2005.
A full-time doorman, a full-time superintendent, and a newly restored landscaped shared roof deck with 360-degree city views are among the building’s features.
