All the information available on Justin Bieber’s health as Stephen Baldwin requests prayers for his son-in-law

Concerns have been raised over pop singer Justin Bieber’s health after actor Stephen Baldwin requested fans to “pray” for him and Hailey Bieber.
The 57-year-old actor requested prayers for his daughter and son-in-law in a mysterious Instagram Story post on February 26. In an Instagram Reel, Victor Marx, the founder of All Things Possible Ministries, wrote over a video of the singer of “Peaches” strumming a guitar, asking followers to “please take a moment when you think of Justin and Hailey, to offer a little prayer for them to have wisdom, protection, and to draw close to the Lord.” Baldwin shared this message.

The Usual Suspects actor did not elaborate on why the pair, who have been married since 2018, required fans’ prayers, but the tweet quickly caused a lot of anxiety for Bieber’s health.
In recent years, the singer of “Love Yourself” has been candid with his fans about his continuing health battle. Bieber revealed in June 2022 that he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome, a rare neurological condition that results in facial nerve paralysis.
After having to cancel his Justice World Tour dates owing to an illness that was not yet known, he divulged the diagnosis. In an Instagram video, Bieber described how he had started to experience “full paralysis” on the right side of his face.
“Hi there, this is Justin. In the video that was uploaded on June 10, 2022, he said, “I wanted to update you guys on what’s been going on.” “Clearly, as you can probably see from my face, I have a syndrome known as Ramsay Hunt syndrome. It is caused by a virus that attacks my facial nerves and ear nerves, paralyzing my face.”
“As you can see, this eye is not blinking,” Bieber said, holding up his right eye to show that it was still. There’s complete paralysis on this side of my face; I can’t even grin. This nose won’t budge.
“I’m just obviously not physically capable of doing the next shows, so for those who are frustrated by my cancellations, I apologize,” he said.
As you can see, this is a severe situation. Although I wish otherwise, it’s clear that my body is asking me to slow down. Bieber continued. “I’ll be using this time to just rest, relax, and get back to 100% so that I can do what I was born to do. I hope you guys understand.”
He joked, “But this ain’t it in the interim.” “I need to go get some rest so that my face can return to its natural position.”
He gave supporters assurances: “My face will return to normal, and I’m doing all these facial exercises to help it do so. It’s just going to take some time, and we don’t know how long that will take.”
As to the Mayo Clinic, the varicella-zoster virus, which also causes shingles and chickenpox, is the culprit behind Ramsay Hunt syndrome. It seldom affects youngsters and mostly affects individuals over 60 who have had chickenpox in the past.
Ramsay Hunt syndrome has two primary symptoms. The first is an excruciating rash in and around one ear that frequently has blisters. On the same side as the afflicted ear, facial paralysis is the other main symptom. Although they frequently occur simultaneously, one symptom may worsen on its own. Additional indications of the illness could be taste changes, tinnitus, hearing loss, ear pain, and dry mouth.
A few days later, Bieber gave his followers an update on his health. The singer of “What Do You Mean?” shared on Instagram Stories, saying, “Wanted to share a little bit of how I’ve been feeling.” Every day has improved, and despite all of the pain, I have found solace in the one who created and is familiar with me.
He knows everything about me, I’m reminded. He continually embraces me into his loving arms and knows the darkest sides of me that I would like no one knew about. This viewpoint has gave me calm amid this horrible storm that I’m suffering [sic].”
He added: “I know this storm will pass but in the meantime JESUS IS WITH ME.”
Hailey, his wife, continued to be supportive of Bieber even after he was diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome. During a June 2022 interview with Good Morning America, the founder of Rhode Beauty gave fans an optimistic health update.
“He’s doing really well. He’s improving every day,” she remarked at the time. “Obviously, it was just a really scary and random situation to happen, but he’s going to be totally okay,” he said after feeling much better.
“I’m just thankful that he’s okay,” she said.
The model also expressed gratitude to “fans, friends, and family” for their “support” during his health issues, saying, “Everyone has sent well wishes, advice, and recommendations.” It has truly been incredible.
Around the same time as Bieber’s diagnosis, his wife had also faced her own health crisis. Due to “stroke-like symptoms,” Hailey was sent to the hospital in March 2022, where she had surgery to seal a hole in her heart. It was later determined by medical professionals that she had suffered a Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), also known as a mini-stroke, as a result of a blood clot in her brain. They also found out that she had a PFO, which is a tiny hole in her heart that typically shuts after birth and was found by a transcranial doppler examination.
Hailey said on Good Morning America that their experiences with their two health scares had made them “a lot closer” and enabled them to be “upfront” with one another.
“You’re supporting and encouraging each other while going through this together, and there’s just something that really bonds you through these times,” she remarked. “So that, in my opinion, is the bright side of these crazy times.”
Even while Bieber maintained hope for his recovery, he was eventually forced to postpone the remaining dates of his Justice World Tour in October 2022. Although he was scheduled to continue the gigs in Dubai later that month, he had earlier canceled twelve appearances in October. Bieber’s camp emphasized that he was “taking a break from touring to make his health a priority” in a social media post.
After receiving a diagnosis of Ramsay Hunt syndrome about nine months ago, Bieber updated his followers on his progress in recovering. He released a video on Instagram of himself smiling from both sides of his face, telling followers that he was steadily recovering mobility.
Bieber and his wife have yet to publicly react on Baldwin’s plea for prayers. However, the two ventured out on 28 February to attend a late-night worship service at the Churchome worship at Saban Theatre in Los Angeles.
The Independent has contacted representatives for Justin and Hailey Bieber and Stephen Baldwin for comment.
