Alaina Marie Scott, a travel influencer and the daughter of the artist Eminem, disclosed that she wed her longtime partner Matt Moeller earlier this month. In a series of images and a video posted to Instagram on Tuesday, Scott said that June 9, 2023, was “simply one of the best days of my life.”
She posted a carousel of images from the significant day in Detroit with the message, “In this lifetime and in the next, my spirit will always find yours. Her Instagram post also has images of the newlyweds slow dancing, showing off their wedding rings, and sharing a rooftop kiss.
Scott celebrated her marriage in another tweet by channelling Jay-Z, a rapper who is not her father. In a video with the tagline “Love, Mr. & Mrs. Moeller,” Scott is shown bragging about the ring she wore both before and after saying “I do” to her future husband.
The first line of Jay-Z’s “Public Service Announcement (Interlude)” is, “Allow me to reintroduce myself.” It’s not Eminem, but Scott, 30, appears to be using Jay-Z’s lyrics as a method to ease into marriage.
Over seven years have passed since Scott and drummer Moeller started dating. Together, the pair has spent several vacations, trips to Europe, and music festivals throughout the years.
“You are my best partner, best friend, and best fur parent. Thank you for loving me so effortlessly, Moeller, Scott said in a post commemorating their anniversary in 2021.
Scott was asked to marry Moeller in December 2021. She repeatedly said “yes.”
Scott was adopted by Eminem (actual name Marshall Mathers) more than 20 years ago. She was conceived by Dawn Scott, the identical twin of Kim Scott Mathers, the rapper’s ex-wife. According to the Detroit Free Press, Dawn Scott reportedly overdosed on heroin in 2016 and passed away.
Eminem told Rolling Stone in 2004 that he had exclusive custody of Alaina.
Since the day she was born, my niece has been a part of my life, he added. She would essentially live with Kim and I wherever we went.
In addition, Eminem adopted two children in 2005: model Hailie Jade, 27, and TikTok sensation Stevie Laine, 21.
Despite not appearing in Scott’s Instagram photos, the rapper has been candid about his connection with his kids, both inside and outside of the recording studio. Alaina and Hailie Jade were both addressed in his 2004 hit song “Mockingbird.”
The “8 Mile” actor also said in 2010 to New York Times Magazine that he gives his children the credit for his sobriety.
He praised his children, saying, “I love them so much and they’ve helped me through so many things.”
