After the Aggies sluggish start against UMass, Texas A&M stands empty.

The disappointing season for Texas A&M continued on Saturday, as the Aggies struggled early against UMass (1–9) at their home stadium. Texas A&M was unsuccessful in their attempt to win the game. After the first half, which concluded with the Aggies ahead by only seven points, Texas A&M supporters became obviously upset with their team’s performance. The Aggies finished the half with a lead of only seven points.

A video was shown in College Station before the beginning of the second half that showed fans of the Aggies getting up and leaving their seats during the halftime break. It seemed to many in attendance as though Texas A&M was doing a practise in front of the audience rather than participating in a game during the month of November since there was such a huge number of vacant seats at the stadium.

The fact that the game is being played in weather conditions that are less than ideal for fans, including rain and wind, is not something that has helped matters in any way.

The Aggies began the season with the anticipation that they would contend for a berth in the College Football Playoff; however, they have since developed into one of the most disappointing teams in the NCAA. Prior to Saturday, they had a record of just 3–7 for the year, having lost their previous six games in a row, and they had only won one conference game prior to Saturday.

Fans in College Station have high expectations for their team to do well in the SEC, and regardless of the outcome of Saturday’s game against UMass, head coach Jimbo Fisher will undoubtedly face criticism heading into the summer.
