After Kanye West asks for it to be included on the next album, Nicki Minaj responds, “Train Has Left the Station,” in their collaboration.

At least according to Nicki Minaj, the much anticipated Nicki Minaj and Kanye West duet “New Body” won’t be getting a second chance anytime soon.

The 41-year-old rapper known as “Super Freaky Girl” seemed to dismiss West’s plea for the song—which has been shelved since at least 2018—to be included on his next album, Vultures.

The 46-year-old West kicked things off on Thursday by tweeting an image of a text conversation he seemed to have sent Minaj, requesting permission to release “New Body” on Vultures, his new song with Ty Dolla $ign as the superduo ¥$.

In the text, West added, “Hello, it’s ye.” He shared it with X (previously Twitter). Could I please give you a call about releasing the new album?

Despite her lack of reaction to the text, Minaj addressed its publication in an Instagram Live, saying that the song will not be released since the time has passed.

“As for Kanye, that train has departed the station, okay?” she questioned. With all due respect, I just released a brand-new record. So why would I release a song that is three years old? Guys, hurry up. You understand?”

Minaj, who earlier this month released her fifth album Pink Friday 2, collaborated with West and Ty Dolla $ign on the song “New Body” for the rapper’s eventually abandoned album Yandhi in 2018.

Minaj was not pleased when the “Stronger” rapper revealed later that he intended to alter the song for his 2019 gospel album Jesus Is King.

It’s interesting because Kanye wants to turn a song I made with him into a Christian song. I composed three different verses, but I’m not sure why. In 2019, she said to The Shade Room, “We ain’t seeing eye to eye on it.” “We’ll monitor that situation.”

Eventually, the song leaked, and even though it became popular on TikTok, Minaj reiterated in a February 2022 interview with Hot 106 that it probably wouldn’t be published.

“I have respect for each and every person, regardless of their life stage or spiritual state. People loved ‘New Body.’ “New Body is the greatest hit record that was never released, like that,” she said. “‘New Body’ would have been released sooner if it had been released when [West] wasn’t living out his faith. It wasn’t meant to be, however, since it didn’t. Everyone is aware that’s the big hit that escaped. The ship, I believe, has departed to “New Body.” That is just the way things sometimes work in our world.

Although the song’s future is still unknown since it is still included in the Vultures track list, Minaj is enjoying herself much with the release of Pink Friday 2, which includes cameos from celebrities like Drake, 50 Cent, J. Cole, Lil Wayne, and others.

Minaj, who on Monday revealed a worldwide tour, referred to the album as a “incredible body of work that I am so proud of” during an Instagram Live.

“This whole album will be the biggest gift I have ever given humanity so far,” she said. That’s something I can support. I’ll wager any sum of money that listening to Pink Friday 2 will instantly make individuals fall in love.

West, on the other hand, has been under criticism in recent years for making antisemitic remarks. As a result, he lost relationships with companies like Adidas, Balenciaga, and Gap, and as a result, he lost his billionaire title.
