After 7 years of marriage, Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have announced their divorce.

Sofia Vergara and Joe Manganiello have called it quits. After seven years of marriage, the couple admits to Page Six that they have “made the difficult decision to divorce.” ET has reached out to Vergara and Manganiello’s representatives for comment.
“We have made the difficult decision to divorce,” the couple said in a joint statement. “As two people who love and care deeply for one another, we respectfully request that our privacy be respected at this time as we navigate this new phase of our lives.”

In addition to the joint statement, a source tells the publication, “Sofia and Joe have been growing apart for a while now and are taking some distance from each other to contemplate their future.”
Meanwhile, a source tells ET that “Sofia and Joe have been living separate lives.”
“They have been spending time apart and focusing on themselves, their careers, and their loved ones,” the insider claims. “Sofia has given her all to her new beauty brand, toty, and is very involved and excited about it.” She had a launch party at her Los Angeles home at the end of June, but Joe was not there. She did have a framed picture of the two of them kissing in a room in her house.”
The speculation over the condition of Vergara and Manganiello’s relationship started earlier this month, when he posted on Instagram for her birthday and just wrote “Feliz Cumpleaos Sofa!!!” in the caption.
The fact that Vergara spent her birthday in Italy without Manganiello adds to the rumours of marital strife. Vergara posted on Instagram during her vacation, “When life gives you lemons, you come to Italy to squeeze them.”
Vergara and Manganiello started dating in 2014, after her engagement to billionaire Nick Loeb ended.
Shortly after, the True Blood actor obtained Vergara’s phone number from her Modern Family co-star, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and went to New Orleans to take her out on a date. After six months of dating, they got engaged. On November 22, 2015, Vergara and Manganiello married.
Two years later, Manganiello told Ocean Drive magazine that the “pressure” of having his relationship with Vergara in the limelight “just brought us closer together.”
Manganiello revealed more about his romance with the Modern Family star the following year.
“There is no one I’d rather spend time with.” “She was it for me,” he told Cigar Aficionado. “People say things like, ‘Marriage and relationships are effort.’ But it’s not. Life is challenging. Having someone to assist you cope with it is the best thing that has ever occurred.”
“It’s such an easy relationship — easy in all the right ways,” he said. “Looking back on my previous relationships, I believe the universe was giving me some tough practise so I’d get this right.”
